Our second son Benedikt was premature. We gave him lots of love, warmth and security. The biggest challenge, however, was to enable him to get a healthy, deep sleep every day. Advice from our grandmother changed everything. We should put Benedikt in the drawer of her old pine chest of drawers to sleep. We did, and he slept peacefully until the wee hours.

We decided to share this wonderful experience with others and developed an elegant, mobile bed made of pine wood from the old drawer. We named it Benni's Nest and we're confident it will bring deep, sound sleep to many more babies.

The cot is just as suitable for sleeping at night as it is for naps in between. Newborns sleep up to 18 hours a day in the first months of life. Due to the round and closed shape, we have succeeded in creating a microclimate in which the soothing smell of the untreated pine wood can optimally unfold. The closed side walls protect the newborn from drafts and noise. Thanks to a TÜV-certified ventilation system, an optimal supply of oxygen is always guaranteed and heat build-up is prevented.

Our frame is an elegant metal frame in which the cot can be wonderfully inserted. The frame is very stable and ensures that the baby bed is stable.

Benni's Nest accompanies the children throughout their lives. We take a sustainable approach and durability is a key consideration when designing the crib. After the babies have grown too big to sleep in, the nest can be used as a shapely chest or converted into a bench with the optional cover for the mattress. Of course, nothing stands in the way of creative use as a pirate ship or a cozy reading nest.
